East By East West AW Collection

I have mentioned East by East West in a recent blog post..and now its time for the AW16 drop. As in previous season the over sized knits and quirky tailoring are all here. The oversize knitted dress is this year available in navy and cream, personal hits include the newly styled fisherman sweater is in Oyster, Navy and Cream and the double buttoned frill shirt in white cotton. Truly regal.

Pyrus AW16 Collection at Starburst Boutique

A classic season from Pyrus. Prints, embroidery and sequins abound. The Sophia top caused a storm when it first arrived. Probably the best evening top i have seen produced in years in the most softest champagne colour.

Jenny Collicott

The Jenny Collicott kimono collection arrived in store just over two weeks ago and her printed silk frivolities are divine. Luxurious, bold and decadent they speak of another era. An era of cocktail hour, rambling country houses, cigarettes on very long holders and bias cut Vionet dresses. They look fabulous over evening dresses or paired with crepe tuxedo pants but are also just as at home paired with a delicate vintage style top and jeans.  Its hard to chooses a print but the Victorian vintage tea cup paired with the Aaya black blouse from Pyrus would be my go to evening look for winter.

Every now and then you stumble across a new brand that is so delicious that your heart leaps each time you see it on the rail. Nathalie Vleeschouwer is fresh from Antwerp and full to bursting with gold brocade, full glittery skirts and slinky jersey.

Cash CA AW16

The Cash CA delivery has arrived and this season its been kept simple and elegant in a close knit Merino wool. The colours used have lovely names such as bracken and sea. Wide body jumpers and cardigans are hard wearing, classic and more importantly for a winter spent in drafty Devon houses  - warm.  Wide body crew necked jumper with split hem £155.00 /cardigan £165.00
